Big E asked:
Both great champions with totally different styles. Aaron Pryor was undefeated for a long time & got a lot of respect after defeating Alexis Argello twice. Floyd Mayweather Jr has defeated a lot of champions, including De La Hoya, Corrales, Gatti, Baldemeyer & Zab Judah to name a few.

There is nothing Mayweather could do with Pryor. He damn sure couldn’t hurt him, and Pryor would be all over him throwing hard shots. Mayweather would feel like he just tangled with a nest of angry hornets. none of Mayweather’s defensive tricks could work against a guy like that without the punch to back them up. Pryor would give him a vicious beat-down.

tough call , but the hawk gets the nod .

Im gonna go with Stonewall on this one. I gotta say that in any scenario….Floyd would have been eaten alive by the Hawk.
Hawk fought better opponents. Hawk fought thru pain…Hawks style negated speed because it was constant and relentless…it was also unorthodox so you could watch all the tape in the world..it wouldnt help.
Hawk could chase him down and stay on him where others cant…his feet were fast enough to chase Sugar Ray Leonard into the awaiting welcome arms of Tommy Hearns.
If Leonard was that afraid of him, and hes an all time great…I cant give Floyd that kind of credit.

Aaron Pryor wins via 14th round TKO (if we’re doing a 15 rounder). Floyd Mayweather is an excellent fighter and probably has the best boxing skills out there pound for pound today but he has a big flaw. He’s unbelievably arrogant. He would likely step into that match up thinking that it would be like all the others but Aaron Pryor was a completely different cat. He was a buzzsaw on legs with no off switch. Even the great Alexis Arguello, with his tremendous punching power, couldn’t back the hawk up or keep him away. Pryor just kept coming, from every angle, all the time. It would be the same here with the ref stepping in late in the 14th to stop Mayweather from being beaten to death.

I personally feel Mayweather would win after 12 rounds………

Pryor’s stamina would be the key in this fight. Mayweather Jr. would be on the defensive and pick shots at Pryor the whole fight. Mayweather Jr would not exchange with Pryor, if he does then he will get knocked out, but he might have a chance if he could keep Pryor at bay. Arguello gave Pryor a big right hand in there first fight and Pryor walked right thru that punch to knock Arguelllo out in 13, so with that said and Mayweather Jr. with no power like Arguello I got to give Pryor’s unorthodox style and stamina an edge in this fight.

Floyd could run, but not fast enough to escape Aaron Pryor. Eventually Pryor would walk Mayweather down, no pity pat or pot shot would keep Pryor off Floyd. Mayweather never faced the likes of Pryor, and Pryor would walk right though the pretty boy. Stonewall gets a thumbs up from the blogbaba as well, he is right.

After a few first exchanges Floyd find out that Aaron can punch and can take a punch, Floyd will start running, but Aaron is more relentless than Oscar De La Hoya and keep the pressure on, Floyd would be hurt by Aaron weird angle punching, so Floyd would increase speed and start gallopping around the ring, but eventually Floyd run out of gas and stop to catch his breath for a little while, that’s when The Hawk come in for the kill, with a 16 punches combination, Aaron knock Pretty Boy down, and as he fall Aaron will ask him what time it is…and Floyd will say It Hawk time sir….

Aaron would run down Floyd by the fifth round, stopping him. However, he wouldn’t have done the same thing to Ray Leonard.

Pryor wins. This is to much fight for Mayweather.
floyd mayweather
The classic puncher vs Boxer matchup. I believe Mayweather would win by UD in a tough 12 round fight, Pryor may have beaten Alexis Arguello twice, but Floyd is on a level of his own. I would give Floyd a 7-5 nod over Aaron but would not be shocked if it went the other way

Floyd twists his body to his right almost all the time. He never leaves much of a target for his opponent. Unless hawk time stepped to his left and cranked left hooks,he would lose.
floyd mayweather
i don’t like floyd at all! BUT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN TO FAST FOR aaron pryor…floyd ko11

If we’re talking 15 rounds, Pryor. Mayweather might just be able to move like h–l for 12 and squeak out a decision, but for 15? I dont think so.
